Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

Location: office in Bentonville, AR
Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Hours: 20 hours/week
Please note that this role requires an on-site presence in our Bentonville, AR office. Interested candidates must be able to commute to and from Bentonville, AR.
Position Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing day-to-day HR support to Water for Good’s HQ office in the United States. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting all aspects of the employment lifecycle, including talent acquisition support, payroll administration, benefit administration, policy management and compliance, and other HR administration duties.
Responsibilities & Duties Overview:
Manage the HQ full cycle recruitment process for all open roles in the United States.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth employee experience.
Maintain up to date personnel records in Water for Good’s HRIS system.
Process payroll on a bi-monthly basis for employees located in the United States, ensuring accuracy in timekeeping, deductions, and wage adjustments.
Coordinate benefit open enrollment for employees located in the United States, as well as assisting employees with benefit related questions and life events.
Facilitate employee performance evaluations and ensure that employees are provided with clear directions.
Ensure compliance with federal and state-specific employment laws.
Support supervisors to ensure HR policies and practices are properly implemented.
Draft and distribute HR communications, announcements, and updates to handbook and/or organizational policies and procedures, as needed.
With guidance from the Chief People Officer, support initiatives that reinforce culture, recognition, and employee engagement.
Complete HR administrative tasks, such as but not limited to, maintaining HR calendars, scheduling meetings, and preparing HR reports and metrics for the leadership team.
Other duties as assigned.
Work Experience and Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Passion for Water for Good’s mission of transforming lives through sustainable access to safe water, as well as improved sanitation and hygiene, in places that need it most
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Human Resources, Business, Communication, or a related field
2+ years of Human Resources experience
Basic understanding of Employment Laws, and the ability to apply judgement to situations.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations
Experience using HRIS systems.
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Legally eligible to work in the United States; no sponsorship will be provided.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Project Management software, such as Asana
Experience using the HRIS system, BambooHR
Physical Qualifications
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
