Public Works Executive Director

Position Overview

The City of Bentonville is seeking a Public Works Executive Director to oversee all public works operations for one of Arkansas's fastest-growing cities.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all public works departments including streets, utilities, and infrastructure
• Develop and implement strategic plans for city infrastructure
• Manage department budgets and capital improvement projects
• Coordinate with other city departments and external agencies
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and safety standards
• Lead and develop a team of public works professionals

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, or related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in public works or municipal management
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
